<![CDATA[SoDakAdventure.com]]> http://www.sodakadventure.com/index.html en-us Wed, 18 Jun 2008 23:53:39 GMT <![CDATA[Jerin & Comanche]]> http://www.sodakadventure.com/index.html?p=100 This is my son Jerin, and his horse Comanche.  Because we've had so much rain, Jerin & his trusty Steed haven't had a chance to compete yet this year.  Jerin is practicing the Flag Race and this bucket hitting the ground is not what he needed.  Perhaps it's a good thing there hasn't been any competitions yet this year.  Because Summer is a slow hunting season, we will try to keep you updated on the other things we are doing this summer.  I also promise to have a picture of Chief's newborn son as soon as he sends me one I can use.  If you would like to congratulate Chief on his new baby boy (Wyatt Micheal) email him: chief@sodakadventure.com


If you are going fishing send us your photos, that might help us get through the summer blues.

This  dam  used to be   a  "hot  spot"  in the  state  for  fishing,,,People  used  to  come from  MN,  ND, and all  over  SD  to  fish  this  dam.  On Memorial  Day weekend,  it used to look like a little  city..  10  years  of   drought  slowly  dried it  away,, and last  winter  was  the last  blow.. There wasn't  enough ice out there for  a  skating  rink!


 


It is  surprising  that  it  filled up,  to over flowing  in one  week of  rain..


 


Now  we need  fish !!  And  it  will be  years again before it is  good  fishing  right in my  back  yard.
