Raymond Again
Here is my brag story…………
This was a buck that I had been seeing close to my house. He is a very symmetrical 6x6 and had been in a bachelor group with 6 other bucks. I had tried to sneak on this buck on two other occasions, but had never been able to close the deal , always running out of daylight. On Saturday evening Oct. 18th, Mike Burgee (Ol’ Grey Hair) and I located the bucks for the third time and devised a plan. Mike was to come in from the east and I from the west and hopefully as these bucks fed out into a alfalfa field one of us was going to get a shot. Well my lucky stars were definitely lined up for me. I got a 54 yard quartering away shot at him, and as you can see another three inches lower I would have missed him completely, but as it was it hit him in the heart and he only went about 150 yards before going down.
