Chief on a coyote stand in the Black Hills
Boy is this a busy time of year, had a baby in November and that hasn't helped it slow down much. Sorry about no Blogs. A couple of weeks ago, Chief, Courtney and myself decided to make a last ditch effort at a Hills Elk, but to no avail. We even slowed down to make some stands for coyotes and bobcats, still no luck. A storm moved in and dumped about 6 inches of powder on us we didn't get to see much wildlife as they were bedded down pretty good. Saw a road kill cow and a few elk in Wind Cave National Park but they wouldn't let us shoot those. Well the baby is stirring again, maybe after the holidays I'll be able to post more.
P.S. No time to call the last couple of weeks, but my Father-in-Law from Tulia, Texas and I got a coyote in the snow this morning on our morning cow check. First one for a few weeks and first one in a while with no mange. We saw a 2nd one but couldn't get a good shot. No pictures as we forgot the camera but he is hanging with my others waiting for the fur buyer.
Merry Christmas to all of you and don't forget to pre-register for Dupree Dog Days.
